Entering in the Deeper Life

Why are you holding on to everything, when I have told you, “It is better to give than to receive”? And I do not mean just money, or even your time; I mean your opinions, your strong-mindedness, your desires, your personal satisfactions. Do you know how much power and strength lies dormant within you as a body? But, because you all hold on to yourselves so much, you aren’t entering in.

I mean for Paul’s words in Galatians 2:20 to be a reality: “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself for me.” What would happen if just a few of My children grasped this reality, and not only for one second, or one hour, or one whole day, but for a complete inner transformation!

One of the reasons My church is so ineffective is because this concept never takes hold for very long. It may take hold for a while, but before a foundation of power and effectiveness can arise, the evil one comes in and sweeps away the little fires of revival almost as soon as they begin to burn.

I told you it would be hard. I told you that following Me means death to your self. You listen to these words and you speak them to others, but are you ready to live them? If I could get a group of believers who are living these words — and loving one another, bearing one another’s burdens, interceding for one another, and standing together in prayer and support when the enemy comes in on one of their lives — WHAT I COULD DO!

I walked the path; I spoke to you all the words you need to know. Now you must decide: on what level are you going to follow Me?

I counsel you to seek after that DEEPER life, that ULTIMATE purpose for living. You’ll never be satisfied until you do!

SCRIPTURE
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14)

“For I have no one like-minded, who will sincerely care for your state. For all seek their own, not the things which are of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 2:20-21)
