If you feel as though all the armies of hell have been unleashed against you, then kneel down in praise to God. The adversary deems you a worthy opponent! How else do you think a soldier is prepared for the battlefield? There must be some kind of a spiritual boot camp in which we acquire the Discipline, the Fortitude, and the Tenacity required to go to war. “Praise be to the Lord my Rock, Who trains my hands for battle, my fingers for war.” (Psalm 144:1).
The training ground is hard. Many drop out. Some are badly wounded; others are simply disillusioned; and others are unscratched, yet totally ineffective, because they spiritually compromise at the onset, causing Satan no threat whatsoever.
Satan’s energy is mostly targeted on the power sources of Christ. Those warriors who are proven effective will learn how to advance the most during Satan’s most aggressive periods. (Genesis 50:19-20). In what would be one of Satan’s greatest victories (and your greatest defeat) lies the opportunity for the opposite — God’s greatest victory. God’s glory can rest more fully on you in your weakness.
