Pursue the Highest Call

If you must be pushed into a tight spot in order to believe, then so be it. Just believe. Whatever it takes, I will work My work within you. You have asked for nothing less. It is in those moments of union with Me that covenants are made, promises are given, visions are revealed.

You must, however, walk out these covenants in your body of flesh. This is where the testing begins: the frustrations, the impatience, the discouragement, the doubt. I, the Son of God, the Perfect One, learned obedience through suffering. How much more My children need to!

And yet, as you persevere through all the discouragement of the flesh, you will climb to higher heights in the Spirit. So persevere and believe. Perseverance and faith must go hand-in-hand. These two commands I give to you in order that you may stand firm until the end.

It is not the initial treasures that require strength and determination. My beloved ones are being fought right now to give up pursuit of their HIGHEST callings. Many will not be guilty of turning their backs on Me; they will be guilty of giving up the pursuit of My highest call. My highest call will require your ALL. It will require single-minded focus, strength to press in at all costs, and denial of the flesh to a great degree.

The promise is there. I am never lacking in My Word. But in order to accept My offer, you must grasp hold of it. Do you understand? My highest call must be won by you just as intensely as the Olympian pursues the gold with rock-solid commitment and unshakable determination.

Those who run to enjoy the race will not win. Those who run to be part of the race will not win. Only the one with single-eyed focus and rigorous, relentless determination will win. Never mistake the race as being against one another. The race is against the possibilities I lay before you. You determine how high you will go.

SCRIPTURE
“I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:14, NIV)

“Do you know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore, I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.”  (1 Corinthians 9:24-27, NIV)
