These words have been on my mind for some time (many years). I was struck to hear Ray Hughes speak them at the conference — so much so that my wife thought I should go to Israel!
Last Sunday’s Turn class Bob spoke of his trip to Israel. I offer these passages as significant concerning Jerusalem. The later two I have been reciting/proclaiming for some time. The first I have been pondering over.
Zechariah 6:9-15
You may embark on this trip in this confidence. “Those who are far away will come and help to build the temple of the Lord.”
Isaiah 31
This passage, as are many, is very applicable to the present circumstance of Jerusalem. “…declares the Lord, whose fire is in Zion, whose furnace is in Jerusalem”, ties in very closely to some points of your message Sunday.
2 Samuel 7
God will fulfill his promise to David concerning his house and Jerusalem. We (his people) are integrally linked to Jerusalem.
I would ask that you consider declaring these two passages as you have opportunity. There is nothing that God so likes to hear as his Word. “… for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.” KJV
