Bob and Deanna Deering, along with the Core Leadership at Voice Ministries, would like to call our church family to a time of prayer and fasting. The time set is a 7-day fast with two specific prayer targets from Monday April 27 to Sunday May 3. Our two prayer points will be: 1. God’s destiny and purpose for America and 2. for God’s outpouring of the Holy Spirit across our nation and here at Voice Ministries.
We will be praying daily at 9am, 3pm, and 9pm for one hour at each time and of course you can join in from the privacy of your home. Read the description below for why these targets were chosen and what each point is covering along with the scriptures that will be used in our prayer focus.
Try to hit the time slots as we will be in a place of unison and agreement. As far as fasting, that will be your choice to whatever the Lord leads you into during these seven days.
PRAYER POINT 1 — GOD’S DESTINY FOR AMERICA
America is in a battle for her destiny! This is a time for us to arise and take our place upon the wall of prayer for America to be turned towards righteousness and justice. We want GOD’S plan for America. We partner with God for His kingdom to come and for victory over the enemy’s plans! God will pull us into victory by His Spirit!
Zechariah 4:6 — “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel saying ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts.”
Isaiah 60:1-4 TPT —“Rise up in splendor and be radiant, for your light has dawned, and Yahweh’s glory now streams from you! Look carefully! Darkness blankets the earth, and thick gloom covers the nations, but Yahweh arises upon you and the brightness of his glory appears over you! Nations will be attracted to your radiant light and kings to the sunrise – glory of your new day. Lift up your eyes higher! Look all around you and believe, for your sons are returning from far away and your daughters are being tenderly carried home. Watch as they all gather together, eager to come back to you!”
Psalm 83:1-5, Psalm 2
Our President, His family, his administrative team.
For all governors to be moved by God’s Spirit.
For governmental leaders of all levels to have discernment and wisdom in how to act and implement plans each day.
Ephesians 1:15-22 — “For this reason, ever since I head about your trust in the Lord and your love for all God’s people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you. In my prayers I keep asking the God of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, the glorious Father, to give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you will have full knowledge of him. I pray hat he will give light to the eyes of your heats, so that you will understand the hope to which he has called you, what rich glories there are in the inheritance he has promised his people, and how surpassingly great is his power working in us who trust him. It works with the same mighty strength He used when He worked in the Messiah to raise Him from the dead and seat Him at the right hand in heaven, far above every ruler, authority, power, dominion or ay other name that can be named either in this age or the one to come. Also, he has put all things under his feet and made him head over all things in the church.”
Praying in agreement that the voice of fear and intimidation would be silenced. Let faith and courage rise up from the body of Christ.
2 Timothy 1:7 — “For God has given us a Spirit who produces not timidity, but of power and love and self-discipline.”
Deuteronomy 31:6 — “Be strong, be bold, don’t be afraid or frightened…for the Lord your God is going with you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
The ending of this COVID-19 Coronavirus and a complete cure that comes from the Throne Room of God.
Psalm 91:2-4, 15-16 — “I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, My God in whom I trust!” For it is He who delivers yo from the snare of the trapper and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark (wall). “He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him and honor him. With a long life I will satisfy him and let him see My salvation.”
Jeremiah 17:14 — “Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; Save me and I will be saved, for You are my praise.”
PRAYER POINT 2 — CRYING OUT FOR GOD’S OUTPOURING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT ACROSS OUR NATION AND AT VOICE MINISTRIES
Isaiah 61:1-4 CJB — “The Spirit of Adonai Elohim is upon me, because Adonai has anointed me to announce good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted; to proclaim freedom to the captives, to let out into light those bound in the dark; to proclaim the year of the favor of Adonai and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, yes, provide for those in Zion who mourn, giving them garlands instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, a cloak of praise instead of a heavy spirit, so that they will be called oaks of righteousness planted by Adonai, in which he takes pride. They will rebuild the ancient ruins, restore sites long destroyed; they will renew the ruined cities, destroyed many generations ago.”
Acts 2:17-18 — “And it shall be in the last days,’ God says, ‘That I will pour forth of My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; Even on My bondslaves, both men and women, I will in those days pour forth of My Spirit and they shall prophesy.”
Isaiah 42:5-13 — “Thus says God the Lord, Who created the heavens and stretched them out, Who spread out the earth and its offspring, Who gives breath to the people on it And spirit to those who walk in it, “I am the Lord, I have called You in righteousness,I will also hold You by the hand and watch over You, And I will appoint You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the nations, To open blind eyes, To bring out prisoners from the dungeon And those who dwell in darkness from the prison.“I am the Lord, that is My name; I will not give My glory to another, Nor My praise to graven images. “Behold, the former things have come to pass, Now I declare new things; Before they spring forth I proclaim them to you.” Sing to the Lord a new song, Sing His praise from the end of the earth! You who go down to the sea, and all that is in it. You islands, and those who dwell on them. Let the wilderness and its cities lift up their voices, The settlements where Kedar inhabits. Let the inhabitants of Sela sing aloud, Let them shout for joy from the tops of the mountains. Let them give glory to the Lord And declare His praise in the coastlands. The Lord will go forth like a warrior, He will arouse His zeal like a man of war. He will utter a shout, yes, He will raise a war cry. He will prevail against His enemies.”
Psalm 97
For the Great Awakening, His fire to fall, and His wind to blow. For us to have clean hands and a pure heart.
Psalm 24:3-6 — “Who may go up the mountain of the Lord? Who can stand in His holy place? Those with clean hands and a pure heart, who don’t make vanities the purpose of their lives or swear oaths just to deceive.”
We give praise through thankfulness and worship of the one and only true God. We exalt the King of Glory!
Psalm 24 — “God claims the world as his. Everything and everyone belongs to him! He’s the one who pushed back oceans to let the dry ground appear, planting firm foundations for the earth. Who, then, ascends into the presence of the Lord? And who has the privilege of entering into God’s Holy Place? Those who are clean—whose works and ways are pure, whose hearts are true and sealed by the truth, those who never deceive, whose words are sure. They will receive the Lord’s blessing and righteousness given by the Savior-God. They will stand before God, for they seek the pleasure of God’s face, the God of Jacob. So wake up, you living gateways! Lift up your heads, you ageless doors of destiny! Welcome the King of Glory, for he is about to come through you. You ask, “Who is this Glory-King?” The Lord, armed and ready for battle, the Mighty One, invincible in every way! So wake up, you living gateways, and rejoice! Fling wide, you ageless doors of destiny! Here he comes; the King of Glory is ready to come in. You ask, “Who is this King of Glory?” He is the Lord of Victory, armed and ready for battle, the Mighty One, the invincible commander of heaven’s hosts! Yes, he is the King of Glory!”
